OSB boards

Oriented strand board (OSB) is a type of wood-based panels formed by adding adhesives and then compressing layers of wood strands (flakes) in specific orientations specially designed for construction. Excellent shape stability and high durability.

Types

  • OSB / 1 – general application boards for interior use.
  • OSB / 2 – load-bearing boards used in dry conditions.
  • OSB / 3 – load-bearing boards used in humid conditions.
  • OSB / 4 – boards with increased load-bearing capacity used in humid conditions.

Application

  • rigid roof sheathing, bases for underlay or bituminous shingles [OSB-3 and OSB-4];
  • wall cladding [OSB-3 and OSB-4];
  • floor cladding on joists [OSB-2, OSB-3 and OSB-4 in interiors with increased air humidity];
  • attic slopes [OSB-2, OSB-3 and OSB-4 with increased air humidity];
  • wall framework [OSB-2, OSB-3 and OSB-4 in rooms with increased air humidity];
  • ceilings [OSB-3 and OSB-4];
  • formworks [OSB-4].
